Message Hi guys. I have rebuilt my bottom end and continued to build the top of the motor up whilst leaving the pan off incase I need to mess with it.

I have a standard sized crank from a spares car. eagle rods and king race bearings, i torqued the rods to approx 60nm (43ft lb) and the ARP main studs at 95 NM (70m ft lb), unfortunately my plastigauge got lost in the mail and it will take a week or so to get a replacement so i'm trying to just do without.

The bottom end seems hard to turn over, even with the spark plugs out it takes around 100ft lb or more just to move it an inch or two. Is this too much?
